Notification in terms of section 122 of the Companies Act, No 71 of 2008 and changes to the
Board.

In accordance with section 122(3) (b) of the Companies Act, No 71 of 2008 and section 3.83(b) of the
JSE Limited`s Listings Requirements, shareholders are hereby advised that the Company has received
formal notification of the following movement in securities of the Company:

Vulisango Holdings (Pty) Ltd (“Vulisango”) has disposed of a beneficial interest in securities of the
Company in line with its investment strategy to not hold more than 5% interest in any listed entity. The
total of Vulisango’s beneficial interests in the securities of Village is now 4.99%.

Further to and as a result of the above, shareholders are advised of the resignation of Mrs Baba Njenje
as non-executive director of Village with effect from 1 December 2014.

Mr Bernard Swanepoel, Chairman of the Board of Directors, said: “We would like to thank Baba for her
contributions to Village and wish her well with her future endeavours.”
