CHANGES TO THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS


Shareholders are advised that, with effect from 1 October 2014, Brian William Smith has been appointed as an
independent non-executive director to the board of directors of Andulela (the “board”). Brian has also been appointed
Chairman of the Audit, Risk and Compliance Committee and Chairman of the Remuneration Committee in place of
Graham Rosenthal, who has retired from the board, with effect from 30 September 2014.

The board wishes to thank Graham for his tremendous contribution to the company during the past four years and
wishes him well in his future endeavours.

Brian is a qualified Chartered Accountant with 40 years post-qualification experience at Deloitte where he was the
lead client service partner for several listed companies. Brian has considerable experience in the mining industry and
the steel industry. He currently chairs the Investigation Committee of the Independent Regulatory Board for Auditors
and is a member of the board of directors and Audit Committee of a bank. Brian is also the Chairman of the Audit
Committee of the City of Johannesburg.

The Andulela board welcomes Brian and looks forward to his contribution to the company.
