Santova’s 2014 Annual Integrated Report achieved a SDTI score of 82.43% placing it in 1st position on the JSE, with only 4 other companies achieving SDTI scores in excess of 80% in the 2014 survey. The report is produced annually by Integrated Reporting & Assurance Services (“IRAS’), an independent South African sustainability assurance consultancy, in order to assess the effectiveness of corporate sustainability reporting in South Africa and to promote transparency and accountability. The SDTI score is determined by assessing 74 data points or indicators in the annual reports of listed companies, that cover a number of areas including; corporate governance, labour, economic, CSI/SED spend, environmental, health and safety and other standard required disclosures.
