RESIGNATION OF FINANCIAL DIRECTOR

The Board of Anglo American Platinum Limited ("the Board") and the Executive Committee ("Exco")
wish to advise that Financial Director, Bongani Nqwababa, has resigned from Anglo American
Platinum with effect from 1 March 2015 to pursue personal career growth.

Bongani joined Anglo American Platinum in 2009 and managed the overall financial function. Chris
Griffith, CEO of Anglo American Platinum, said: "I would like to thank Bongani Nqwababa for his
commitment and diligence over the last six years at Anglo American Platinum. He has worked
tirelessly during a tumultuous period for the platinum industry and we will wish him well when he
moves to his new role, following our reporting season in early 2015."

The Board and Exco wishes Bongani all the best in his future endeavours and would like to thank him
for his immense contribution.

The Nominations Committee of the board will commence the process to identify a suitable
successor. A further announcement will be made as soon as a successor has been appointed.
