TRADING STATEMENT

In terms of paragraph 3.4(b) of the Listings Requirements of the JSE Limited, companies are
required to publish a trading statement as soon as they become reasonably certain that the
financial results for the period to be reported on next will differ by at least 20% from those of
the previous corresponding period.

Shareholders are advised that the Company expects the following to be reported for the year
ended 30 June 2014 (“2014 Year End Results”):

- earnings per share and diluted earnings per share to be between 20% and 25% higher
  than that for the comparative period of 24.3 cents per share; and
- headline earnings per share and diluted headline earnings per share to be between
  13% and 18% higher than that for the comparative period of 26.0 cents per share.

The financial information on which this trading statement is based has not been reviewed or
reported on by the Company’s auditors.

The 2014 Year End Results are expected to be published on or about 9 September 2014.
