APPOINTMENT OF CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER AND PUBLIC OFFICER

On 9 December 2013, the Company announced the retirement of Chief
Financial Officer ("CFO"), Pieter Bezuidenhout.

Zurich South Africa is pleased to announce the appointment of
Yulandi van Dyk as the Company’s CFO, Public Officer and an
executive director on the Company’s board, with effect from 1
September 2014.

Ms van Dyk, a qualified Chartered Accountant, joins Zurich South
Africa from Aon Sub-Saharan Africa where she successfully
fulfilled a dual role of Financial Director, Aon South Africa and
Regional Financial Controller, Aon Sub-Saharan Africa from January
2010.
