The shares were sold as part of a diversification strategy of Mr. van Heerden’s personal investment
portfolio. The remaining Afrimat shares held by Mr. van Heerden still forms the main part of his
investment portfolio.

Shareholders are furthermore advised that Mr. Loyiso Dotwana has increased his shareholding in Mega
Oils (Pty) Limited (“Mega Oils”) from 33.33% to 66.66% which constitutes an increase in his indirect
beneficial shareholding in Afrimat. Mega Oils currently holds 5 889 529 ordinary Afrimat shares which
constitutes 4.11% of the total ordinary Afrimat shares in issue.
