TRADING STATEMENT

In accordance with paragraph 3.4(b) of the listings requirements of the JSE Limited, shareholders are
advised that Iliad’s results for the first six months ended 30 June 2014 will reflect earnings per share
(EPS) and headline earnings per share (HEPS) as follows:

The improvement in earnings reflects the continuing benefits of the Group’s portfolio adjustments made in
