Confirmation of directorate change

SABMiller plc announces that Mr Miles Morland retired as a director at the end of the 2014
Annual General Meeting held earlier today, having previously intimated his intention not to
stand for re-election.

Mr Morland will receive his annual fees as a non-executive director and as a member of the
audit committee pro-rata to today, and no other remuneration payments will be made.

John Manser, Chairman of SABMiller plc, commented at the Annual General Meeting:

“After 15 years of distinguished service since our listing in London in March 1999, Miles has
decided that, in the words of William Hague, experience should make way for the need of
renewal. Miles’ experience in identifying business opportunities and running successful
investment funds in Africa and other developing markets over many years has been hugely
valuable to the board, and he also served with a unique blend of candour and insight as the
chairman of our remuneration committee for nine years, until after last year’s annual general
meeting. His expertise will be difficult to replace, and he leaves with our thanks and gratitude
for his service.”
