Update On Business Rescue Proceedings of Alert Steel

1. Shareholders are referred to the previous announcements released on SENS relating to the
business rescue proceedings of Alert Steel (Pty) Ltd (‘Alert Steel’), a wholly owned subsidiary of
Holdings and Holdings (collectively ‘the companies’) in terms of Section 129 of the Companies Act,
2008 (‘the Act’), as amended.
2. The Business Rescue Practitioner of Alert Steel was advised that, on 3 July 2014, the High Court
has granted an Interim Order (‘the Order’) in terms of which the Creditors Meeting of Alert Steel,
scheduled for 4 July 2014, has been adjourned.
3. In terms of the Order, any person wishing to oppose the application is obliged to file their notice of
opposition by 8 July 2014. The Court made further directions relating to the filing of affidavits and a
return date of 22 July 2014 for the arguing of the application.
4. Should a copy of the Order be available, copies of the Order will be made available at the meeting.
