UPDATE ON SUCCESSION PROCESS FOR GROUP MANAGING EXECUTIVE: RETAIL AND
BUSINESS BANKING

On 14 May 2014, at the time of announcing Ingrid Johnson’s appointment as
Finance Director of Old Mutual Plc, we indicated our intention to announce
the successor for the role of Nedbank Group Managing Executive: Retail and
Business Banking by 30 June 2014.

Good progress has been made and we have completed the interview process
from the internal list of candidates which highlighted the talent within
Nedbank. We are in the process of finalising the appointment as well as
reviewing possible consequential moves that may arise.

We now expect to announce the successful candidate on or before the group’s
interim results presentations scheduled for 5 August 2014.
