Appointment of a non-executive director: Dr Omar Marwan Kamal
In compliance with Section 3.59 of the Listings Requirements of the JSE Limited, the Tharisa
Board of Directors (“the Board”) is pleased to announce that Dr Omar Marwan Kamal has
been appointed to the Board as a non-executive director with effect from 11 June 2014.
Dr Kamal holds a Ph.D. Management (Banking and Finance) from Coventry University (UK) and
a BSc. in Economics and Political Science from the University of Jordan. He has 19 years of
experience in the field of finance and investment. Dr Kamal currently holds the position of
co-Group CEO of ARH (Suisse) SA. He has a broad spectrum of knowledge and experience
gained through his academic background including lecturing at university, serving as a key
executive at two prominent regional banks as well as having been a partner at Ernst & Young.
The Board welcomes Dr Kamal and looks forward to his contribution.
