CHANGES TO THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS

In compliance with the requirements of paragraph 3.59 of the Listings Requirements
of the JSE Limited, Crookes wishes to announce the following changes to the Board
of Directors:

Xola Sithole has been appointed as a non-executive director of the Company with
effect from 30 May 2014.

Xola is a business executive and entrepreneur with a career spanning over 20 years
in the finance and investment sector. He has for the past five years managed his own
investment holding company which consults to blue chip clients in the private and
public sector. He was previously CEO of Khula Enterprise Finance.

In addition Crookes wishes to announce the retirement of the Chairman, Guy Wayne.
Guy reaches retirement age during August 2014 and will retire with effect from the
conclusion of the Company’s annual general meeting on Friday, 1 August 2014. The
Board has elected John Barton to succeed Guy from the close of the annual general
meeting. John was appointed as an independent non-executive director in May 2013
and brings a wealth of experience to the position of Chairman. John has assumed
many corporate roles over the past years and he is currently a director of Bell
Equipment and Foskor. Much of his career was spent working for Anglo American
and subsidiary company Mondi.

The directors and management of Crookes would like to take the opportunity to thank
Guy for the immense contribution he has made to the Crookes group over the six
years that he has been Chairman of the Company and wish him well for the future.
