CHANGES TO THE BOARD – NEW APPOINTMENT


In terms of paragraph 3.59 of the Listings Requirements of the JSE Limited, the Dawn board
of directors is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Dinga Mncube as an independent
non-executive director of DAWN with effect from 1 May 2014.

Mr Mncube has a MCom in Business Management and a MSc in Forest Products. He has 20
years executive experience in forestry, timber processing and the paper and pulp industry.
Mr Mncube currently serves on the boards of York Timber Holdings Limited, Food and Trees
for Africa and the Forest Sector Charter Council. He has previously chaired the National
Forests Advisory Council, Forestry South Africa and has been a board member of Sappi
Southern Africa. Amongst other achievements, Mr Mncube played a leading role in the
revival of Project Grow, an award-winning enterprise development programme at Sappi. He
also played a key role in driving Sappi’s R814 million black economic empowerment
transaction in 2010.
