Lionel previously served on the board of The Bidvest Group Limited, and has considerable experience in the freight industry, a key market serviced by Compu-Clearing. Lionel’s appointment strengthens the Group’s governance structures by introducing an independent Chairman to lead the Board. At the same time, the board of directors announce that Mr Arnold Garber is standing down as Executive Chairman with immediate effect. He will however be appointed to serve as Chief Executive Officer going forward. Arnold founded Compu-Clearing over 30 years ago and has grown the company from humble beginnings to a market leader in its niche. The Board thanks Arnold for his years of dedication as Executive Chairman and welcomes his ongoing involvement.. The board of directors further advise that Mr Johan Du Preez is standing down as Chief Executive Officer with immediate effect. He will however continue to serve as an executive director. Johan joined Compu-Clearing shortly after its formation and has been a driving force behind the Group’s success.
