NOTICE OF SPECIAL GENERAL MEETING

Shareholders are advised that the Company will hold a special general meeting of Class A
shareholders at the Company’s registered office on Thursday, 29 May 2014, at Mercury House, 101
Front Street, Hamilton, HM12, Bermuda at 10:00 am (Bermuda time) and, for Class A shareholders 
attending in South Africa, at ENSafrica, 2nd Floor La Gratitude Office Park, 95 Dorp Street,
Stellenbosch, South Africa at 3:00 pm (South African time), to consider and, if deemed fit, pass the
following resolutions:

1     to approve the termination of the appointment of Moore Stephens as the auditor of the
      Company, and

2     to approve the appointment of PricewaterhouseCoopers as the auditor of the Company.

A copy of the complete notice will be provided to Class A shareholders on Friday, 16 May 2014, and
an electronic version will be made available on the Company’s website at
www.southernviewfinance.com on Friday, 16 May 2014.

SVF has a primary listing on the BSX and a secondary listing on the JSE Limited’s Alternative
Exchange.
