As required in terms of the JSE Limited Listings Requirements,
Anglo American Platinum advises the vesting and subsequent sale of
shares in terms of the company’s Bonus Share Plan (BSP) and Long
Term Incentive Plan (LTIP). Today’s announcement relates to the
vesting of BSP and LTIP awards granted on 12 May 2011 which have
vested on 12 May 2014 as per the rules of the two schemes. The
BSP’s are subject to a 3 year holding period and the LTIPs are
subject to certain stringent performance conditions. In terms of
the rules of the schemes, the Company is required to sell adequate
shares to fund the tax obligation of directors that arises on the
vesting date. The details of schemes are contained in the
Remuneration Report contained within the 2013 annual report.
