VOLUNTARY ANNOUNCEMENT IN RESPECT OF A POTENTIAL OFFER

Shareholders are advised that the Board of Directors have received a conditional offer from
Fastpace (HK) Limited (“Fastpace”) for the acquisition of all the shares in Bonatla by way of
a share-for-share transaction equating to ZAR 0.50 (fifty cents) per Bonatla share.

This offer, which details certain conditions, is subject to a 15 day limited due diligence
review and accordingly is not a firm intention announcement.

The offer is required to be accepted by 5 May 2014 and all of the Bonatla directors have
indicated that they are in favour of the offer. Certain of the larger shareholders represented
on the board of Bonatla are by implication supportive of the offer.

Fastpace is an investment and development company involved in projects situated in Asia,
Africa and the European Union, exceeding USD 300 million. Fastpace intends listing on
either the Alternative Investment Market (“AIM”) in London and/or the Hong Kong Stock
Exchange within the next three to four months.

Further details will be announced following the completion of the limited due diligence
process.
