These director appointments are made to replace recent retirements and with due consideration of the skills required for the group’s growth strategies. Mrs Ngonyama is a chartered accountant with extensive experience in the auditing, finance and mining industries. Mrs Ngonyama also has several business interests and actively participates in numerous national forums on economic growth and development. She currently serves as a member of the boards and audit committees of Implats Limited, Barloworld Limited and Evraz Highveld Steel Limited. Mrs Ngonyama is appointed as an independent non-executive director who brings auditing and financial experience to the board. Mr Justin Chinyanta is the founder and Chairman of the Loita Group (Loita Holdings Corporation Africa), a pan-African investment banking firm based in Mauritius. A lawyer by profession, Mr Chinyanta is a specialist in the financial markets of Sub-Saharan Africa with extensive experience in the commercial and investment banking industries in Africa. Mr Chinyanta is appointed as an independent non- executive director who brings strong commercial and project finance experience to the board. Mr Willem Louw is a civil engineer with extensive project management (capital projects) and new business development experience in the energy and chemical industry, both locally and cross border. Mr Louw currently serves as a director of the Centre for the Business Management of Projects with the University of Stellenbosch Business School – Executive Development (USB-ED). Mr Louw is appointed as an independent non-executive director who brings relevant industrial and engineering experience to the board. Mr Vincent Rague is the co-founder and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Catalyst Principal Partners, a private equity group based in Nairobi, Kenya. His extensive experience in advisory services, investments, project and corporate finance as well as banking, spans Latin America, Europe, Africa and Asia. He currently serves as an independent non-executive director of Kenya Airways, Sanlam Africa Core, the Pan Africa Infrastructure Development Fund (PAIDF) and GuarantCo. Mr Rague is appointed as an independent non-executive director who brings investment, project and corporate finance experience to the board. Mr Mark Thompson is both a qualified lawyer and chartered accountant with extensive international finance and general business experience amassed during his tenure as chief financial officer with Sappi Limited and prior career appointments. Mr Thompson currently serves as a non-executive member of the Rand Merchant Bank’s audit committee and sits as a non-executive member of Firstrand Banking Group’s Corporate and Investment Banking Credit Committee. Mr Thompson is appointed as independent non-executive director who brings accounting and corporate financial management experience to the board. Executive Committee Change Shareholders are in accordance with paragraph 3.59(c) of the JSE Limited Listings Requirements, advised of the appointment of Jesse Doorasamy as the Group Human Resources Director and member to the executive committee with immediate effect.
