RESIGNATION OF CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

In compliance with paragraph 3.59 of the Listings Requirements of the JSE Limited, Adcock
Ingram’s shareholders are hereby notified that Dr. Jonathan James Louw has tendered his
resignation as the Company’s Chief Executive Officer with immediate effect to pursue other
interests.

The Company thanks Jonathan for his contribution over the years and wishes him well with
his future endeavours.

The board of directors of Adcock Ingram will make a further announcement regarding the
Chief Executive Officer position in due course.
