TRP121: NOTIFICATION OF AN ACQUISITION OF BENEFICIAL INTEREST IN SECURITIES

In compliance with section 122(3)(b) of the Companies Act 71 of 2008 (“the Companies Act”) and
Regulation 121(2)(b) of the Companies Act Regulations, 2011, linked unitholders are advised that Synergy
has received notification from Coronation Asset Management (Pty) Ltd (“Coronation”) of the acquisition by
Coronation (on behalf of its clients) of Synergy A linked units, such that Coronation now holds 26.89% of
Synergy’s issued A linked units.
