CHANGE TO THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS - APPOINTMENT OF DIRECTOR


In compliance with paragraph 3.59 of the Listings Requirements of JSE Limited, the board of directors
of Taste (“the Board”) hereby notifies its shareholders that Mr Grant Pattison has been appointed as
an independent non-executive director to the Board with effect from 1 March 2014.

Mr Pattison is currently the Chief Executive Officer (“CEO”) of Massmart Holdings Limited
(“Massmart”), a position he has held since 2007. In the 15 years that Grant has been with Massmart
he has fulfilled various executive roles including Group Commercial Executive, Managing Director of
Game Stores and Executive Assistant to the then CEO. His experience in forming and leading the
long-term strategy of the group includes the Massmart-Walmart acquisition and integration, expanding
growth into the African continent and introducing retail food into the Massmart business.

Grant’s direct experience in leading a multi-branded and multi-divisional consumer goods company
complements the current Taste business as well as its future strategic direction. The Board is pleased
that Mr Pattison has accepted the offer and welcomes him to the Company.
