RESIGNATION AND APPOINTMENT OF COMPANY SECRETARY

In compliance with the JSE Limited Listings Requirements, the board of directors of the Company wishes to
advise shareholders that, with effect from 1 May 2014, Mr C J Cronjé will retire as company secretary and
Mrs L Malan has been appointed to the post in his stead.

Mrs Malan is currently the Group Internal Auditor of the Company and holds a B Hons (Accounting), CA(SA)
qualification. The Distell Board is satisfied that Mrs Malan has the necessary skills and experience to fulfil
this function.
