NOTICE OF AN ACQUISITION OF A BENEFICIAL INTEREST IN TRUWORTHS
SECURITIES

Truworths advises shareholders in terms of Section 122(3)(b) of the Companies
Act, (no 71 of 2008, as amended) and paragraph 3.83(b) of the JSE Limited
Listings Requirements, that the company has received a notification that the
Public Investment Corporation (“PIC”) has acquired a further beneficial interest in
the company’s securities (“the acquisition”).

Following the acquisition, PIC now holds 15.105% of the issued ordinary shares
of the company.
