CHANGES TO THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS

In compliance with paragraph 3.59 (a) of the Listings
Requirements of the JSE Limited, shareholders are hereby
informed of the following changes to the Board of Directors of
Rare ("the Board"):

The appointment of Mr Ashin Tasdhary (“Ashin”) as Executive
Director to Rare Holdings Ltd and Mr Tony Dean (“Tony”) as
Managing Director of the Rare Plastics division of The Rare
Group (Pty) Limited with effect from Thursday, 23 January
2014.

Ashin started his working career with the Italtile Group in
1991, and left as an Area Manager in 2001. In 2004 he took up
a position as Managing Director of APS GP, a division within
the Amiantit Group of Companies. In late 2012, he started his
career as National Sales Manager at The Rare Group. Ashin has
also worked at DPI Plastics and Venture Plastics.

Tony has 30 years of experience in the Plastic Pipe & Fittings
Industry.   He held the positions of Managing Director of
Petzetakis Africa and Chief Executive Officer of Flo-Tek
within the two companies with whom he was previously employed.
He is also a founding member of SAPPMA (South African Plastic
Pipe Manufacturing Association). Tony is a first-class leader
and this is seen in his passion for management and personnel
development, and organizational growth.

The Board welcomes Ashin and Tony and look forward to their
valuable contributions.
