terms of the Collective Investment Schemes Control Act, 45 of 2002.

DISTRIBUTION FINALISATION ANNOUNCEMENT FOR THE SIX MONTHS ENDED 31 DECEMBER 2013
- UPDATE

Further to the announcement released on SENS on 16 January 2014, holders of dbx USA securities
are advised that the distribution payable on or about Friday, 24 January 2014 will be a minimum of
ZAR 0.07877 per dbx USA security. This is based on the ZAR/USD exchange rate prevailing on
Tuesday, 21 January 2014 of 10.8300.

The ZAR distribution amount of ZAR 0.07877 per dbx USA security is calculated as follows:

-        Gross foreign dividends of ZAR 0.14756 (one four point seven five six cents);
-        Less: Foreign Withholding tax of ZAR 0.02269 (two point two six nine cents);
-        Plus: Interest and equalisation of ZAR 0.01467 (one point four six seven cents);
-        Less: Management fee of ZAR 0.06077 (six point zero seven seven cents).

This amount will be adjusted upwards for larger investors who are liable for less than the 0.75%
management fee (on the basis set out in the Fourth Supplement to the Offering Circular and Pre-
Listing Statement on 13 February 2008 and as per the SENS announcement released on 3 July 2013).

The aggregate amount payable to each investor will be rounded down to the nearest cent. The
balance (if any) will be retained and paid out in the following distribution period.
