DECLARATION OF SPECIAL CASH DIVIDEND



Shareholders are advised that a special cash dividend of 16 cents (gross) per share has been
declared by the board of directors of The Don, in accordance with the timetable set out below:

Last date to trade cum the dividend:                          Friday, 24 January 2014
Shares trade ex distribution:                                 Monday, 27 January 2014
Record date:                                                  Friday, 31 January 2014
Payment date:                                                 Monday, 3 February 2014

Share certificates may not be dematerialised or rematerialised between Monday, 27 January 2014
and Friday, 31 January 2014, both dates inclusive.

The following additional information is disclosed:

-   The special dividend should be treated as an income payment and is being paid out of income
    reserves.
-   The local dividend tax rate is 15%.
-   There are no Secondary Tax credits utilised against the special dividend.
-   The gross local dividend is 16 cents per share for shareholders exempt from paying Dividend
    Tax.
-   The net local dividend amount is 13.6 cents per share for shareholders liable to pay Dividend
    Tax.
-   The Don's tax reference number is 9350165719.
-   There issued share capital of The Don is 294 485 303 ordinary shares.

The special dividend has been approved by the Exchange Control Department of the South African
Reserve Bank.
