These resignations are with effect from 6 December 2013 and the Board wishes to thank Mr Ruck and Mr Sowazi for their valuable contribution made to the Board over many years. The Board is pleased to announce the appointments of Mr Eric Diack and Ms Kholeka Mzondeki as independent non-executive directors of the Aveng Board with effect from 1 December 2013 and 1 January 2104 respectively. Mr Eric Diack, BAcc CA (SA), AMP Harvard and UCT, has extensive industrial experience having served on numerous major listed company boards including AECI, ArcelorMittal, Daewoo, Dorbyl, Haggie, Highveld Steel and LTA. Mr Diack is currently serving as a non- executive director on the Board of The Bidvest Group Ltd. Ms Kholeka Mzondeki, BCom, ACCA (UK), has over 20 years’ experience in a variety of industries including mining and telecommunications. Ms Mzondeki is an independent non- executive director of Telkom and Bauba Platinum. Internationally, she sits on the United Nations’ World Food Programme (WFP) in Rome and is a council member of the global accountancy body, the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA).
