MEDICLINIC ACQUIRES PATHOLOGY LABORATORY OPERATIONS IN DUBAI



Mediclinic announces the acquisition of the two pathology

laboratories at Mediclinic Welcare Hospital and Mediclinic Al

Sufouh in Dubai for a cash consideration of AED95 million (R262

million) with effect from 1 October 2013.



The acquisition is expected to add AED19 million of annualised

incremental Earnings before Interest, Taxation, Depreciation and

Amortisation (EBITDA).



The acquisition supports the strategy of Mediclinic Middle East to

establish a centralised and reference laboratory that will yield

operational and clinical benefits.
