CHANGES TO THE BOARD – APPOINTMENT OF INDEPENDENT NON-EXECUTIVE
DIRECTOR

In compliance with the JSE Limited Listings Requirements, the
following information is disclosed:

The board is pleased to announce that Professor Marian Jacobs has
been appointed as an independent non-executive director of the
Company with effect from 1 January 2014.

Marian Jacobs retired as Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences at
the University of Cape Town in 2012 and currently holds the
position of Emeritus Professor, Paediatrics and Child Health,
University of Cape Town.

The board welcomes the appointment of Professor Jacobs and looks
forward to her contribution.
