BOARD CHANGES

Village Main Reef is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Clinton Halsey, a Chartered Accountant, as
Chief Financial Officer of Village with immediate effect and following the resignation of the previous Chief
Financial Officer, Mr. M Saaiman.

Mr. Clinton Halsey is a member of The South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA) and qualified as
a Chartered Accountant with PwC in 2000. Clinton has more than 13 years professional experience, primarily in
the mining industry, and has held senior financial roles at Durban Roodepoort Deep Limited and Harmony Gold
Mining Company Limited. Clinton is a previous CFO of Village, having served in the role from June 2008 to June
2011. Clinton is also a director of To The Point Growth Specialists (Pty) Ltd and a non-executive director of the
Manganese Metal Company (Pty) Ltd.

Mr Bernard Swanepoel, Chairman of the Board of Directors, said: “We welcome Mr. Clinton Halsey to the Board
and look forward to capitalise on his vast experience. We would like to thank Mr. M Saaiman for his involvement
in Village and look forward to the ongoing relationship between himself and Village through a consulting
arrangement.
