In terms of the Listings Requirements of the JSE Limited ("JSE"), section 3.4(b), companies are required to publish a trading statement as soon as they are satisfied that a reasonable degree of certainty exists that the financial results for the period will differ by at least 20% from the financial results for the previous corresponding period. Shareholders are advised that the company expects, with reasonable certainty, that the earnings per share for the six months ended 30 September 2013 to be between 35 and 38 cents per share compared to 6.8 cents per share for the comparative period and headline earnings for the six months ended 30 September 2013 to be between 10 and 12 cents per share compared to 6.9 cents per share for the comparative period. Headline earnings per share have been adjusted for an after tax profit of R58, 6 million on the sale of the Vlaklaagte Prospecting right.
