Updated trading statement for the six month period ended 31 August 2013
In compliance with paragraph 3.4 of the Listings Requirements of the JSE Limited, a listed company is
required to publish a trading statement as soon as they are satisfied that a reasonable degree of certainty
exists, that the financial results for the next period to be reported on are likely to vary by more than
20% from the previous corresponding period.
Further to the trading statement released by Buildmax on SENS on 28 August 2013, Buildmax is pleased to
confirm that earnings are expected to be between 18.0 and 18.5 cents and headline earnings to be between
20.0 and 20.5 cents per share for the interim period ending 31 August 2013.
The financial information on which this trading statement is based has not been reviewed or reported on by
the Company's auditors.
Shareholders are advised that the consolidated reviewed interim financial results for the six months ending
31 August 2013 will be released in November 2013.
