FURTHER UPDATE IN RESPECT OF THE ACQUISITION OF
NAMAQUALAND MINES

With reference to the proposed acquisition by Trans Hex’s
50% held company, Emerald Panther Investments 78 (Pty)
Limited of Namaqualand Mines (“NM”) from De Beers
Consolidated Mines Limited (“DBCM”) and the cautionary
announcement published on SENS on 10 October 2013:

Shareholders are advised that discussions centered on
resolving the only outstanding issue, viz. agreement
between DBCM and the State regarding the State’s 20
percent interest in NM, are continuing.

Trans Hex and DBCM have agreed to extend their engagement
for a further two weeks, i.e. until 30 October 2013.

Further announcements will be made in due course and the
necessary shareholder processes will be completed once
the outstanding issue has been resolved.
