Provisional liquidation of Brikor

Shareholders are referred to the announcements dated 22 February 2013, 10 April 2013, 24 May 2013 ,2
July 2013 and 31 July 2013, regarding the on-going legal dispute between Brikor and its bankers,
Firstrand Bank Limited (“Firstrand Bank” or “the Bank”).

On 30 July 2013, Brikor was put into provisional liquidation by the Kwa-Zulu Natal High Court, with the
return date set for Tuesday, 8 October 2013. Brikor submitted its answering affidavit to the High Court on
Tuesday, 8 October. The case was postponed to 22 November 2013, when a future date will be
confirmed for the argument of the case. The business will continue to operate under the supervision of
the liquidators until such date.
