                     Transaction in own shares


Blackstar announces that over the two days, 08 October 2013 and
09 October 2013, it purchased a total of 50,000 ordinary shares
of €0.76 each in the Company (the "Shares") at a price of R11.20
(£0.70) per share. The purchased Shares are expected to be held
in treasury in accordance with applicable law.

The Company has a total of 82,088,500 shares in issue and,
following the above purchase, excluding the treasury shares the
issued share capital of the Company will be 81,148,895. The
number of Shares purchased represents 0.06% of the total shares
in issue.

A total of 939,605 treasury shares are now held by the Company.
