FILING FOR BUSINESS RESCUE

Zaptronix is delisted from the JSE AltX board and is makes this SENS announcement because it does
not have electronic contact information for all its shareholders. Shareholders are requested to send
their electronic contact details to shareholders@zaptronix.co.za which will facilitate fast and efficient
communication with shareholders in future.

Shareholders are advised that the Board of Directors have filed for Business Rescue on 16
September 2013.

Your attention is drawn to the provisions of notice and documentation which includes:

The Resolution placing the company in business rescue
A stamped copy of the CIPC form 123.1 placing the company in business rescue
A statement of facts by the board of directors

In accordance with the sworn statement in support of the notice to commence business rescue
proceedings as contemplated in section 129 of the Companies Act 71 of 2008:
The directors of the company resolved that the Company be voluntarily placed into business rescue.
The relevant facts upon which the decision was founded are:
              a. The company is in financial distress.
              b. The company has proposed an Offer of Compromise and Scheme of Arrangement to
                   creditors which has subsequently withdrawn.
              c. The directors have decided to place the company in Business Rescue to allow the
                   company to reorganise its affairs.
There appears, in the opinion of the directors, to be a reasonable prospect of rescuing the Company
via business rescue proceedings. Business rescue will, it is hoped, allow the Company to reorganise
its affairs so that the Company can innovate and grow.

The company is in the process of appointing a Business Rescue Practitioner and you will be advised
of the individual’s identity and contact details as soon as the Companies and Intellectual Properties
Commission complete the process of appointment.
