CHANGE TO THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Shareholders are advised that, with effect from 16 September 2013, independent non-executive
director Mr Tertius de Villiers has resigned from the board of directors of Sable and as chairman
of the Audit and Risk Committee, due to other work commitments.

The board has embarked on a process of appointing a suitable replacement and expects to make an
announcement in this regard in the near future.

The board of Sable thanks Tertius for his valuable contribution and wishes him all the best in his
future endeavours.
