APPOINTMENT OF NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

In compliance with paragraph 3.59(a) of the Listings
Requirements of the JSE Limited, notification is hereby
given that Professor Walter Geach has been appointed as a
non-executive director on the board of GPI with immediate
effect.

Professor Walter Geach is a chartered accountant (CA)
(SA), an admitted advocate of the High Court of South
Africa and a Professor in the Department of Accounting at
the University of the Western Cape where he is also the
subject head of Taxation. His qualifications, together
with academic achievements that include authoring/co-
authoring of over 14 published books used extensively in
practice   by  accountants,   consultants,   lawyers  and
financial planners; make him imminently suitable for
appointment as non-executive director of the Company.

The Board of directors extends congratulations to
Professor Geach on his appointment and looks forward to
his invaluable contribution to the Company and Group.
