CHANGES TO THE MAJOR SUBSIDIARY BOARD

The Board of Directors of Iliad Africa Limited announces that due to a restructure within the
Specialised Building Materials Division (‘SBM’), and with effect from 11 September 2013, Mr
Kim Davidson, an executive of the group, will step down from the Board of Iliad Africa Trading
Proprietary Limited, a subsidiary of Iliad Africa Limited.

Kim Davidson will continue his role as managing executive of the Ironmongery cluster within
the group. We take this opportunity to thank Kim for his valuable contribution to the Iliad Africa
Trading Proprietary Limited Board during his term in office.
