The Sanlam Board wishes to thank Mr Plenderleith for his valued contribution to the Group since his appointment to the Sanlam Board in 2006 and bids him well in all his future endeavours. APPOINTMENT The vacancy that has been left by Mr Plenderleith will be filled by the appointment of Mr Paul Bradshaw to the Sanlam and Sanlam Life Insurance Limited boards as an Independent Non-Executive Director with effect from 07 August 2013. Mr Bradshaw is the Chairman of the board of Nucleus Financial Group Limited wherein Sanlam is an investor. His other directorships include: Sanlam UK Holdings, Sanlam Life and Pensions UK Limited, Sanlam Private Investments and Sanlam Private Wealth Holdings UK Limited, Southampton University Hospital NHS Trust, Paul Bradshaw Consulting Limited and Integrated Protection Solutions Limited. Paul is an experienced actuary having been a founder, Managing Director and Chairman of Skandia UK Life Assurance Limited. He was the founder director of St James Place and ran their international operations until 2002. He was the Chief Executive Officer of Abbey Insurance Limited (now Santander UK) as well as for the asset management division until 2006.
