CHANGES TO THE BOARD

In terms of paragraph 3.59 of the JSE Limited Listings Requirements, the board of Marshall
Monteagle wishes to announce that Mr. Benjamin C.B. Newman joined the Board with effect from
1 August 2013 as a non-executive director.

Ben moved to Jersey after graduating from Oxford Brookes University in 1990 and accepted a
position as a foreign exchange and money market trader for a large US Private Bank. After several
years in this role, he transitioned into trust and corporate management and obtained qualifications
(with distinction) from the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners. He has held a number of
senior positions within this industry and he has now established himself at the forefront of the
offshore finance world. He is responsible for the day-to-day management of the Jersey portfolio of
First Names (Jersey) Limited, the Company’s administrator in Jersey.

On the same date, he also joined the Company’s Audit Committee and Remuneration Committee.
