Accordingly, the Board of Directors “the Board”) makes the following statement: The Board is satisfied that a reasonable degree of certainty exists that Eqstra’s continuing headline earnings per share (HEPS) for the year ended 30 June 2013 will be at least 20% higher than the prior year comparative period. Continuing earnings per share will not differ with more than 20% compared to the previous period. Once the board has obtained further certainty as to the extent or range of the expected increase in HEPS, a further trading statement will be published on the Stock Exchange News Service (“SENS”) of the JSE Limited. The financial information contained in this trading statement has not been reviewed and reported on by Eqstra’s external auditors. The statement is based on financial information available at the time of this publication. Eqstra’s year end results will be released on SENS on 4 September 2013.
