SABMiller plc was notified today that Mr A Mervis, a PDMR, had on 11 July 2013 exercised an
option to purchase 825 SABMiller ordinary shares at an option price of £12.30 per share.

On the same day Mr Mervis exercised an option to purchase 8,250 SABMiller ordinary shares at
an option price of £12.50 per share.
