TRADING STATEMENT
In terms of the JSE Listings Requirements, a listed company is
required to publish a trading statement as soon as its board of
directors (“board”) is satisfied that a reasonable degree of
certainty exists that the financial results for the next period
to be reported on will vary by more than 20% from those of the
previous corresponding period or from a profit forecast
previously provided to the market in relation to such period.
Shareholders are reminded that the company changed its year end
from 30 September to 31 December each year. Thus the first six
month period for the prior year was the six months ended 31
March 2012.
The Group results continue to reflect a gradual improvement
pursuant to the Group’s recapitalisation and restructure process
as previously announced. Shareholders are accordingly advised
that the board is reasonably certain that for the 6 month period
ending 30 June 2013, the headline loss per share and loss per
share will reduce by over 20% to reflect an improved position
compared to the published results for the comparable six month
period ended 31 March 2012.
The above information has not been reviewed and reported on by
the Company’s auditors.
