NOTICE OF GENERAL MEETING RELATING TO THE PROPOSED CHANGE OF NAME OF THE
COMPANY FROM RAINBOW CHICKEN LIMITED TO RCL FOODS LIMITED

Notice is hereby given that a general meeting of shareholders of RCL will be held at 11:00 on Friday, 2
August 2013 at the Companys registered office, One The Boulevard, Westway Office Park, Westville,
Durban for the purpose of obtaining authority to change the name of the Company from Rainbow Chicken
Limited to RCL Foods Limited.

A circular setting out, inter alia, the rationale for the proposed name change, and including a notice of
general meeting, will be posted to shareholders today, Wednesday, 3 July 2013.

Notes
    1. The dates and times provided for in this announcement are subject to amendment. Any material
       amendment will be published on SENS. Shareholders will not be able to dematerialise or
       rematerialise securities in the name of RCL after Friday, 30 August 2013.
    2. Certificated shareholders who surrender their existing documents of title after 12:00 on the record
       date, will have their new share certificates mailed within five business days of receipt thereof by the
