Notification Of Transactions Of Directors, Persons Discharging Managerial
Responsibility Or Connected Persons

Notification made in accordance with Disclosure Rule 3.1.4R(1)(a) of the Disclosure Rules
and Transparency Rules.

1.   The Company was notified on 1 May 2013 that on 1 May 2013 Mr J P Daly, an
     executive director and a person discharging managerial responsibilities, sold 45,000
     British American Tobacco p.l.c. shares (the “Shares”) at a price of 3,600 pence per
     Share.

2.   The Company was notified on 2 May 2013 that on 26 April 2013 Dr D O’Reilly, a person
     discharging managerial responsibilities, sold 3,322 British American Tobacco p.l.c.
     shares at a price of 3,583.19 pence per Share.

3.   The Company was notified on 2 May 2013 by the trustee of the British American
     Tobacco Employee Share Ownership Plan that on 1 May 2013 the following Executive
     Director and other persons discharging managerial responsibility (together the
     “Participants”) had purchased ordinary shares of 25p each in British American Tobacco
     p.l.c. by way of the Partnership Share Scheme at a price of 3,597 pence per Share.

     The number of Shares purchased by each Participant are as follows:

4.   The independent Trustee of the British American Tobacco Group Employee Trust
     notified the Company on 2 May 2013 that it had on 30 April 2013 released the following
     number of British American Tobacco p.l.c. 25p ordinary shares (the “Shares”) to the
     following person discharging managerial responsibility:
