Renewal of Cautionary Announcement

Shareholders are referred to the renewal cautionary announcement
released by Aspen on 7 March 2013 in which shareholders were advised
of discussions between Aspen and MSD (known as Merck in the United
States and Canada) in respect of a possible transaction comprising the
acquisition of an active pharmaceutical ingredient facility situated
primarily in the Netherlands and a related portfolio of pharmaceutical
finished dose form products.

These discussions remain ongoing and may have a material effect on the
price of Aspen’s securities if successfully concluded and accordingly
shareholders are advised to continue exercising caution when dealing
in Aspen’s securities.
