CHANGE TO THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS - APPOINTMENT OF NON EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR


In compliance with paragraph 3.59 of the Listings Requirements of JSE Limited (“JSE”), the board of
directors of RACEC (“the Board”) hereby notifies its shareholders that Mr John Bester has been appointed
as an independent non-executive director of the Company and member of the audit committee, with effect
from 28 March 2013.

John Bester, BCom (Hons), CA (SA)
John Bester spent 16 years in the accounting profession and was a partner of Ernst & Young. His
experience in commerce and industry includes serving as the financial manager of Toyota Marketing South
Africa, financial director of Warner Lambert South Africa, financial director and chief financial officer of the
Norwich Holdings Limited Group of Companies. He is currently a non-executive director of Personal Trust
International, Clicks Group, Sovereign Foods, Homechoice Holdings and Western Province Rugby, and
chairs a number of audit committees.

The Board welcomes John and looks forward to his contribution to the Company.
