Ascension has successfully closed its book build, having raised R150 million. The Ascension linked units to be
issued pursuant to the book build process have been priced at R4.50 and R2.45 per Ascension A and B linked
unit respectively. The books were well oversubscribed at these levels.

A total of 17 607 938 new A linked units and a total of 28 885 849 new B linked units are expected to be issued
and list on Tuesday, 9 April 2013. As the number of Ascension linked units to be issued in terms of the private
placement is in excess of 5% of the number of Ascension linked units in issue prior to the private placement, a
further announcement will be made setting out the pro forma financial effects of the private placement.
